Blob

An original creature sculpted in ZBrush, optimized and UV-mapped in Maya, textured in Substance Painter, and rendered using Maya and Arnold.

Blob features a unique gummy-like texture, with glowing skin details, eyes, and a lamp-like extremity. The challenge was animating the glow and creating a dynamic lighting effect to showcase him in both light and dark settings. This project allowed me to refine my skills in texturing, animation, and lighting to bring out the creature's unique visual elements.

Created in Adobe Photoshop, this original concept for Blob combines the skin rolls of a pug with the glowing extremity of an anglerfish. The design aimed to create a unique, gummy-like green alien with distinctive fluorescent skin details and double-eyeballed eyes, giving the creature a quirky yet intriguing appearance.
